About the Artist

I didn't start out being the best.

My first memory of painting is one of failure. As a child, while my brother received praise for his work, I was given a polite comment that hid the truth: it wasn´t good.

That´s where something began, I need to see differently, to find something beyond what was obvious.

I grew up in an environment where art wasn´t a priority. For me, it became a refuge. A private space I returned to whenever the world felt hostile.

But life took another direccion. At 18, I started a family and spent years focused on providing for them. Art went quiet, but it never disappeared.

I returned to it when I could no longer ignore it.

At 40, I decided to study painting formally, not as a hobby, but as a way to understand what had always lived within me. During that time, my life changed completely, I left my business behind and chose to pursue art as both a profession and a way of life.

Since them, I don´t paint faces. I paint what lives behind them. I am drawn to emotion, to story, to the invisible tension within each person. Every portrait is an attempt to reveal something that is rarely said, but deeply felt.

I have seen people cry in front of my paintings. Mothers recognizing the gaze their children once had. Families embracing in silence before a portrait.

That´s when I understood that my work is not just about creating images. It is about capturing what should never be lost.
Today, my work does not come from concept, but from connection. I paint in a state where time disappears, where rational thought fades, and only emotional remains. It is an intimate space where I fully belong to myself.

I paint because I need to.

Because some gazes, some moments, some presences deserve to remain.
My work is for who feel that connection instantly. For those who understand that art is not just decoration, but a way to preserve what truly matters.

Art and love are the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
